Where I Stand On The Issues

Our Platform

Remember Our Past. Rebuild Our Present. Reshape the Future.

  • Abolish and Prosecute ICE

We cannot allow ICE to continue their reign of terror in our country. Our neighbors, friends, and families are living in a constant state of fear, knowing that at any moment, they might be arrested, kidnapped, or even executed for the crime of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I’ve personally been told by people in our community that they are scared to speak any language other than English in public. This is not the America I know, nor one I want to live in. It should not be controversial to say that an organization targeting people based on nothing but the color of their skin must be abolished.

The current Democratic representatives, including Laura Friedman, believe that “reforming” ICE is an option. They are wrong. There is nothing optional about abolishing ICE. There is nothing optional about prosecuting the men and women working for ICE who disregard basic human rights and enact their terror on anyone in their way, regardless of immigration status. There is nothing optional about making sure that the USA once again becomes a safe place for everyone who is within its borders. The Constitutional makes it very clear that we have unalienable rights, and I will not stand idly by as the current administration ignores those rights.

  • Free, Universal Healthcare

Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Brazil: all these countries have free, guaranteed healthcare that is paid for by the government. So why is it that America, the richest country in the world, fails in nearly every aspect when it comes to federally funded healthcare? The safety and security of health insurance should be a fundamental right, not an immense financial burden for those who slip through the chasm-sized cracks of our current system.

People from around the country move to Los Angeles to follow their dreams of being actors, writers, directors, and many other creative careers. After getting here, the choice eventually becomes “Do I actually pursue my dream or do I find an office job so I can have health insurance for myself and my family?”. The lack of single-payer healthcare also makes working in the film and TV industry nearly impossible for the disabled community, where meds alone could cost more than $1000 a month.

When I win a seat in congress, one of the first things I’ll do is work with other Democrats to create the first ever single-payer insurance plan in United States history, because access to healthcare is a human right.

  • Regulate AI to Protect Workers and Creatives

Los Angeles is the creative capital of the United States. This town was built by artists, and the pockets of CEOs like Ellison and Zaslav are heavy as a result of artists and union workers creating groundbreaking, entertaining films and shows. Yet, corporate elites aim to completely replace both artists and the working class with generative AI, a tool that’s literally built on the stolen art of said artists. The less money they have to pay humans to do things, the more they get to keep for themselves.

Their greed knows no bounds, and if their wishes come true, hundreds of thousands of creatives in our city will be out of jobs. What will become of a city filled with creatives with no creative jobs?

We have to move quickly to regulate AI before corporate elites set up systems that crush everyday workers and creatives. When I get elected, one of my top priorities will be establishing AI regulation laws before it’s too late, including creating a bill that makes it illegal for companies to replace human jobs with generative AI – because this town is nothing without its artists.

  • Fix the Affordability Crisis

America has gotten increasingly expensive to exist in. Whether it’s the heaps of student debt with skyrocketing interest rates that prevents young people from achieving financial stability, or the fact that for most people, buying a house is only possible if they win the lottery, living is only getting harder to afford – unless you’re a billionaire, of course. We’re going to attack this crisis directly by raising taxes on the rich while lowering taxes for anyone who makes less than $300,000 a year, eliminating Trump’s tariffs, and fighting for federally funded grants for first time house buyers. The American Dream should be for everyone, not just those born in the 50s.

  • Support & Strengthen Power of Labor Unions

Labor Unions are the lifeblood of the working class. In a country where companies will do anything and everything they can to take advantage of their workforce, unions exist as a necessary safeguard to make sure that employees receive even the most basic of rights. It’s crystal clear that the wealth gap isn’t getting any smaller, and with CEOs frothing at the mouth to replace as many jobs as possible with AI, labor unions are more important than ever.

Countries with a higher population of union workers have a much better quality of life compared to those with less. Nordic countries, which are the best examples that social democracy and progressive policies work, boast a world-leading rate with 50% to 91% of the total working population being part of a unionized workforce. Compare that to the USA, in which only 10% of working people belong to a union, and you start to understand how the wealth gap got as bad as it did.

I am a proud member of a labor union, and when I become the CA-30 Congressperson, I’ll help create legislation that stop the illegal union-busting ways of the current administration and grant unions more power than they’ve ever had.

  • Protect Trans Rights

The Trans community is under attack from both the Democrats and Republicans. The right wishes to completely eradicate anyone who identifies as transgender, and some on the left refuse to stand up for the community, only using them as a pawn for negotiation. I will never sell out the trans community like moderate Democratic politicians have. Trans rights are human rights, and the moment we forsake even a single person from underrepresented communities, we can no longer claim to fight for the rights and freedoms of all people.

When I’m in Congress, not only will I never vote for any bill that so much as mentions the transgender community in a passive aggressive manner, much less one that inhibits the rights of the community, I’ll push legislation that restores the rights that the trans community has had stripped away during the current administration.

  • Stop the Warner Bros. and Paramount Merger

We cannot allow Paramount to take over WB. Netflix was already bad enough, but Paramount’s ownership (plus the fact that funding money is coming from Saudi Arabia) will spell utter disaster not only for the industry, but for our culture as well. Gone will be the days of movies like Sinners, One Battle After Another, and any other film/show that attempts to be critical of the powers that be. Ellison wants complete control of the media for Trump. We’ve seen what he’s done to CBS News, just imagine how CNN will turn out.

  • Impeach and Prosecute Trump & His Administration

Trump is a criminal, plain and simple. Not only is he a fraudster who unconstitutionally uses his office to increase the money in his pocket, and worse still, both him and his entire administration have committed mass crimes against humanity. As we speak, people are being arrested, kidnapped, and sent to concentration camps based purely on the color of their skin. It doesn’t matter if they’re US citizens or undocumented immigrants – the Constitution gives anyone in the United States inalienable rights, and those rights are being trampled on by everyone in the Trump Administration.

We must impeach and prosecute every single person responsible for the heinous and illegal acts we’ve seen since Trump took over The White House. Without consequences and accountability, the right will continue to act with impunity. We must demand justice for an unjust administration.

  • Stop Funding the Palestinian Genocide

I know that many politicians toe the line and stay quiet about the Israel & Palestine conflict, but not me – Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. Israel is committing warcrimes by killing humanitarian aid workers and journalists. They target their missile strikes on hospitals. And yet the US government keeps giving them money to fund this onslaught of attacks. I will never vote for anything that funds Israel’s unconscionable attacks on Palestine. Unlike Laura Friedman, I will never accept money from AIPAC or any other zionist groups. And most of all, I will always fight for justice for the Palestinian people.

    Free Palestine. Justice for Palestine.
